I had the pleasure of participating in high-level engagements at the World Bank Group Headquarters in Washington, D.C., where I met with Anna Bjerde and Kelly Mahon Tullier, Vice Chair, Chief People and Corporate Affairs Officer, and Corporate Secretary at Visa, as well as Chair of Visa Foundation, for discussions centred on women’s economic empowerment in Nigeria and Aruwa Capital Management’s investment journey. The conversations highlighted the importance of collaboration between global development institutions, philanthropic partners, and locally managed capital in advancing inclusive growth and expanding access to finance for women-led and women-focused businesses across emerging markets.
